DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS

ACI was established and officially inaugurated on July 14, 2010 and twelve years later, the Department of Physics finally came into being as one of the newest departments under the Faculty of Science and was introduced as an undergraduate honors course on July 25, 2022 with Kashisii Katine Ekhe as the Head of Department and Asuto Zao (Assistant Professor).

Vision:

To develop the department and establish a foundation of learning both theoretically and experimentally and increase the knowledge of students in areas beyond the prescribed syllabus.

Mission:

1.To provide a standard level of education to further prepare students for higher studies and professional courses.
2.To provide students with necessary skills in computing and solving scientific and technical problems through effective teaching methodologies.
3.To motivate students to pursue research in Physics and related disciplinary courses and improve their logical thinking by providing them the required necessities and platform.
4.To provide opportunities to expand and nurture their capabilities in their area of interest by conducting presentation, workshops, seminars etc.
